Dr. Nick Karnik, President and CEO
Dr. Nick Karnik is a technology entrepreneur with strong technical and marketing background in media and technology businesses. In early 2003, Dr. Karnik saw the need for a seamless IPTV solution; therefore, he evaluated and investigated IPTV technologies and built software for IPTV transmission in MPEG4 H.264, including reference hardware platforms to reduce cost and improve bandwidth needed to transmit channels via the Internet. His vision for IPTV induced him to design new hardware and software platforms for cost effective delivery of content. Dr. Karnik also acquired a large library of content from Hollywood, Bollywood and the Chinese Entertainment industry in order to supplement the IPTV hardware and software platform. Over the past 5 years, Dr. Karnik has built next generation set-top boxes and encoders for IN Media for a global delivery platform for content and services. Dr. Karnik has over 20 years of experience in information technology and media companies. Nick Karnik holds a Masters degree in Busiess and received his Ph.D. from Mumbai University, India.
Simon P. Westbrook, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Simon Westbrook is an experienced public company CFO, with a focus on transformation of high-technology startups into successful enterprises. From 2005-2009, he served as CFO of Public Wireless, Inc., a wireless communication infrastructure firm, and also held the CFO position at Nanoamp Solutions Inc., a memory IC company, in 2004-2005. Prior to joining Nanoamp, Westbrook was CEO of MessageSoft, an anti-spam software business, and Chief Financial Officer at Sage, Inc., a company specializing in flat panel displays. Before joining Sage, Mr. Westbrook held a number of senior financial positions at Creative Technology, a leading PC multimedia company, and Atari Corp, the video game and home computer company. Mr. Westbrook is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters degree in Economics from Trinity College, Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
Dan Mabey, Board Director.
Dan Mabey brings a wealth of experience in technology, market and business development. Mr. Mabey currently is been the President of 121View USA, a Utah corporation that directed the market process of 121View, a Singapore based company, into the U.S. market. In addition, since 2004, Mr. Mabey has been President of Interactive Devices Inc., a California corporation that directs the business operations and development team of software developers in California, Israel and Utah. From 2003 through 2009, Mr. Mabey was the Vice President of Broadcast International, a Utah corporation in which Mr. Mabey was involved in patent development and intellectual property management, product development, business and network expansion and corporate funding development. Mr. Mabey received his Bachelors of Arts at Boise State University and his Masters of Public Administration at Idaho State University.
